The Dorset & Wilts Senior men’s rugby squad are just 1 win away from a Twickenham final. However, the Twin Counties must first overcome the challenge of the North Midlands county side at Droitwich Rugby Club on Saturday if they are to run out on the hallowed Twickenham turf once again.
Dorset & Wilts have beaten Berkshire at Wareham but lost out to Devon last week; however, they qualify as best runners-up, so they get a second chance to progress into the final.
A couple of players are unable to travel with the squad for personal reasons, but manager Richard Elliott thinks that the lads who will be coming in will not weaken the squad in any way.
On Sunday the Twin Counties Senior Women’s team entertain Middlesex Women in a Gill Burns Cup tie at Melksham Rugby Club with the game kicking off at 2 30 pm.
