D-Day 80 commemorated at County Hall

On 6th June 2024, 80 years after the Normandy Landings in 1944, a service of commemoration and flag-raising ceremony was held at the Memorial area outside County Hall in Dorchester. The service commenced with The Proclamation read by Dorchester’s Town Crier, Anthony Harrison. During the service St Osmund’s School Choir sang two songs acapella – Dona Nobis Pacem and Benedictus Sanctus. You can listen to the service by clicking the ‘Play’ button below…
