Appeal for information following criminal damage in Dorchester

Police officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after criminal damage at a property in Dorchester.

Between 3.30pm on Thursday 22 August and 12pm on Friday 23 August 2024, a brick was thrown through the window of an address in Mellstock Avenue.

The glass was smashed and damage was caused to the frame, as well as surrounding bricks.

Police Constable Christopher Windows, of Dorset Police, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant timeframe.

“Also, I would ask residents in the vicinity to please check their doorbell cameras or home CCTV systems for any footage that may assist my enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240130136. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
