Public appeal as officers search for missing man in the Weymouth area

Officers searching for a missing man from the Weymouth area are appealing for information from the public to help find him.

Wayne Wigley, aged 64, was last seen leaving an address in Chickerell at around 11am on Friday 14 February 2025. He was driving a grey Peugeot 3008 with the registration HG69 FXO.

Wayne is described as six feet two inches tall and of slim build. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a black fleece jacket, black padded waistcoat, light blue jeans and black slip on shoes. He may also be wearing a flat cap.

Inspector Robin Morgan, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Wayne’s welfare, and we want to find him as soon as possible so we can make sure that he is all right.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding Wayne’s whereabouts to please contact us.

“We believe he may have travelled in his car towards the Bridport area, and I would urge anyone who comes across the vehicle described above to please report it to police immediately.

“Finally, I would like to make a direct appeal to Wayne if you see this to please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are. We all just want to check that you are OK.”
