New Lunchtime History Talks Launched at Dorset History Centre

Dorset History Centre have launched a new series of short lunchtime talks called From the Stacks. These talks are open to everyone and are designed to give people a chance to learn more about Dorset’s history in a relaxed and accessible way.

The talks take place on the last Wednesday of each month at Dorset History Centre, located on Bridport Road in Dorchester. Each session runs from 12:30pm and lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, making them ideal for people who work nearby and want to do something different during their lunch break. They are also perfect for anyone with an interest in local history who wants to learn more.

The first talk in the series happened recently and the team at Dorset History Centre hopes to welcome even more people to future sessions. The aim is to inspire people to explore the county’s past and to discover the wide range of records and stories held in the archives.

There is no need to book in advance. Visitors are welcome to bring their lunch and enjoy a short, engaging talk in the heart of Dorchester.
