Claire Skinner from The Dorset History Centre called in to the studio and told us about their earliest document which is an Anglo-Saxon charter from 965 AD, which contains lots of dire threats if people break the conditions of the charter, all very gruesome! It was to feature in a lunchtime talk by Claire at the History Centre on 28th May, part of the ‘From the Stacks’ series.
