“These are tough times. Millions of people are walking a financial tightrope, with one in 10 UK adults saving no money at all, according to the Financial Conduct Authority earlier this year” , says CAP money coach Dick Howard.
A local church offers free money coaching to help people manage their finances. Dick and fellow CAP coaches will run a three-hour course on Tuesday 16th September starting at 2.00pm at the Dorford Centre. Course participants will learn how to put a budget together, make their money go further and be disciplined about spending.
As Dick explains, “The courses are proven and effective. And they are independent – no one is trying to sell you any financial products.”
And the best bit says Dick? It’s totally free!
Dorchester Poverty Action and Dorchester Foodbank are sponsoring these courses with a £20 Co-op voucher for participants who live in DT1/DT2 postcodes. The courses are run by Dorchester Baptist Church using material created by Christians Against Poverty.
