Dorchester Disabled Club appeal for extra volunteer drivers

On Saturday 6th September members of the Dorchester Disabled Club were in the town’s South Street hoping to recruit additional drivers to help transport disabled and elderly locals to events in Dorset. The occasion was announced to onlookers with a cry by the Town Crier, Anthony Harrison, and a photo of the cry is below. Our reporter Andy Worth attended the event and spoke to the acting Chair of the Club, Cynthia Fry, then the Mayor of Dorchester, Andy Canning, and finally an existing volunteer driver, Adam Sykes.
