Due to the impending weather conditions the organisers elected to dispense with the swimming part of the race and start with the bike discipline.

I was told that you can’t say you had ridden a bike until you have fallen off and this young lady athlete in the photo below came a cropper but she remained in good spirits:
Although grazed and bruised after an accident, this athlete remained in good spirits.
