Jez Hughes, a Trustee of the Dorset CPRE, discusses the draft Local Plan and puts the charity’s viewpoint on what is proposed in the Plan by Dorset Council, and urges all Dorset residents to have their say before October 13th.
Dr, Saroash Shahid talks about how plastic is to be found in all dental products, treatment and equipment, but talks about how the dental industry is developing new, plastic-free alternatives, for instance for fillings, but also dental hygiene equipment such as bamboo toothbrushes, much of which is already on the market.
Dr. Rachel Lauwerijssen has been looking into people’s front gardens and found that they are frequently kept neat and tidy for the sake of other people, not the owners!
And Dr. Christopher Terrell-Nield, now something of a regular on the programme, reveals some of the less well-known aspects of forensic entomology, where insects and their larvae can be used to trace the origin of, for instance, illegally smuggled drugs.
