Weymouth squandered 2 goals to nil lead at the Bob Lucas Stadium against Yate Town on Saturday. The Terras led at half time courtesy of a Kieran Douglas goal then in the 66th minute striker Brandon Goodship doubled the Terras’ lead and most of their home faithful were anticipating three more Southern Premier League points to add to their tally.
However, it wasn’t to be as our Man at the Match explained, “Some of the Terras’ players visibly tired allowing Yate to come back into the game, the Bluebirds pulled a goal back in the 85th minute then a second in time added on and where the referee found 13 minutes from I just don’t know and Weymouth had to settle for a solitary league point”.
In the same division Dorchester played away at Bracknell with Luke Pardoe putting the Magpies into a 1 nil half time lead.
Six minutes after the break Dorchester’s Charlie Wooding was adjudged by the referee to have committed a reckless tackle and saw red.
Now with a man advantage the Robbins struck back twice, and the Magpies were staring defeat in the face. But Connor Underhill spared their blushes with an injury time leveller making the final score Bracknell 2 vs Dorchester 2.
