Anti-incinerator protestors gather in Victoria Square

Idris Martin reporting.

Around 500-plus concerned citizens turned up at Victoria Square in Portland on Saturday 17th January, once more to protest against the construction of an incinerator which the owners of Portland Port proposes to build on the site.

Various speakers expressed their concerns about the construction of the incinerator, and they were supported by the Dorset Red Choir.

At midday, the protesters made their way from the square up the incline and then on to the Portland Port entrance.
