The final details for the development of 80 new homes off Broadmead, in Broadmayne, has been approved by Dorset Council.
The decision finalises the layout, scale, appearance and landscaping for the site—together with open space and enhanced drainage features—following an earlier outline consent (P/RES/2025/02270 ).
The decision paves the way for work to start on the project which will include a nature area on part of the site.
At nearby Owermoigne three planning decisions have been confirmed:
7 Wareham Road, DT2 8HL — A wide-ranging householder upgrade including a single‑storey rear extension, a first‑floor rear extension, roof alterations and new cladding has been granted (ref P/HOU/2025/06663).
Hill Top Farm, Gallows Hill, DT2 8HL — The council has granted permission to retain an extension to an existing agricultural building (ref P/FUL/2025/04331).
Glebe Farm, Wareham Road, DT2 8HN — A proposal to erect a steel portal‑frame building for storing hay, straw, fodder and machinery did not require prior approval (ref P/PABA/2026/00306).
