Another Southern Premier League game and another defeat for Weymouth, who went down by 2 goals to 1 against Farnham at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday. The Terras trailed by a goal to nil at the break. Then in the 67th minute, winger Matt Burrows levelled the scores for Weymouth, but a late winner from the visitors denied the Terras any league points, and now the threat of relegation is staring the Weymouth full in the face.
Our Man at the Match said: “Weymouth didn’t deserve much from the game. Farnham controlled the play and their distribution was far superior to the Terras”.
“Goalkeeper Max Evans made some superb saves for Weymouth, and Brandon Goodship thought that he had equalised only to see the Farnham keeper keep the ball out with a fingertip save”.
In the same division, Dorchester emerged with the bragging rights by winning the clash of the Magpies at Wimborne by 2 goals to 1.
