Debt advice given in the latest 2026 leaflet published by Dorchester Poverty Action

Dorchester Poverty Action launched its newly updated 2026 debt leaflet at its recent coffee morning.  This leaflet is aimed at helping those who might need debt advice.  If you answer yes to any of the following questions, you may be heading for a debt crisis in the near future.  Do you only make the minimum payment on your credit card?  Do you regularly receive a high number of bank charges?  Are you regularly harassed by people to whom you owe money?  Are you regularly kept awake at night worrying about your debts?  This may be the time to get some financial advice.  The leaflet contains many agencies with their contact details, that can help you for free, with debt advice.

Leaflets are available to pick up at many local venues including United Church Dorchester, Dorford Baptist church, Shire Hall, Town Council Offices, Quiet Space and Citizens Advice.  The leaflet is also available on line on the charity’s website www.dorchesterpovertyaction.org.uk

This year the charity has helped more people with grants than any year since its foundation over 35 years ago.  If you are a local professional working with people struggling to make ends meet living in DT1 and DT2, information is available in the leaflet section of the website about how you can apply on behalf of a client.  All DPA grants are only available through a professional referral.

Don’t let yourself get in  a spiral of debt – seek help NOW.
