Three dedicated Dorset colleagues from the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) are set to take on the iconic London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 12 April 2026, raising vital funds to support ambulance staff, volunteers and communities across the South West.
Pip Jarvis, Lead Paramedic (Learning & Development), Ed Tindall, Lead Paramedic, and Eloise Leonard, Newly Qualified Paramedic, will join thousands of runners as they take on the 13.1-mile route through the heart of the capital.
By participating in the landmark event, the team aims to raise significant funds for the South Western Ambulance Charity. The charity plays a crucial role in enhancing the wellbeing of ambulance staff and volunteers, strengthening community engagement, and funding initiatives that go beyond core NHS provision — ensuring teams and local communities receive support when they need it most.
Eloise said: “Supporting the charity in the London Landmarks Half Marathon is both exhilarating and a little intimidating. In my role, I’m used to helping others navigate difficult moments, staying calm under pressure and offering support when it’s needed most. This time, however, the challenge is a personal one and will I be pushing myself for such an important cause.”
Louise Walsh, Charity Fundraising Manager for the South Western Ambulance Charity, said: “We are so grateful to Pip, Ed and Eloise for taking on this fantastic challenge. Training for a challenge like this requires real commitment, especially alongside a demanding frontline roles. Every pound they raise will help us continue delivering initiatives that benefit ambulance staff, volunteers and the communities we serve throughout the South West. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.”
