Weldmar Hospicecare is thrilled to announce its return as an official charity partner for the highly anticipated 2027 Weymouth Half Marathon.
The Dorset charity, which provides care and support for local adults with a life limiting illness, is introducing a brand-new, highly accessible entry incentive, but local runners will need to act fast, as only 50 exclusive spaces are available.
What’s new for 2027?
To make participating easier and more rewarding than ever, Weldmar is offering a heavily discounted entry package for the first 50 people to sign up to run as part of Team Weldmar:
- Secure a race place for an exclusive £10 entry fee.
- A highly manageable minimum fundraising target set at just £250.
- Only 50 charity places are available under this special offer.
Whether participants are seasoned runners looking for a personal best, or looking to tackle their first 13.1 miles, Weldmar is welcoming solo runners, pairs, and teams to grab these limited spots and take on the challenge together.
Making Every Step Count:
Every penny raised by the runners will directly fund Weldmar’s crucial services for local adults living with a life limiting illness, and expected to be in the last year of life. Patients and their families receive compassionate care and support from the charity’s nurses, doctors, counsellors, therapists, and other health care professionals both at home, and in their hospice in Dorchester.
