Community invited to hospital’s Annual Members’ Meeting

Dorset County Hospital is inviting members of the local community to its Annual Members’ Meeting (Annual General Meeting) on 29 September from 5pm to 6.30pm.

The meeting is being held in the hospital’s Education Centre at the Williams Avenue site and offers the chance to browse information stands and grab tea and cake from 4.30pm. The Education Centre is in East Wing, Level 0.

The meeting, hosted by Trust Chair David Clayton-Smith, will include a presentation on services – both in the hospital and in the community – to support people affected by stroke.

Chief Executive Matthew Bryant will also reflect on developments at the Trust over the past year and look ahead to plans for 2027, and there will be a report from the organisation’s Council of Governors.

Guests will hear more about how the Trust will continue to involve local people in planning and monitoring services and will have the chance to give their views in an electronic poll, as well as asking questions about Trust services and future plans.

Anyone can attend the free event. You can register ahead of the event or just come along on the day. The registration form is available on the hospital’s website – www.dchft.nhs.uk/membership/events-and-meetings
