Witness and dashcam appeal following fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Dorchester

At around 1.20pm on Friday 16 October 2026 a collision occurred involving a pedestrian and a Fiat Roller Team motorhome in High West Street, near to the Kao San Thai Restaurant.

It was reported the driver of the motorhome failed to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian sustained a minor injury to his arm which did not require hospital treatment.

Police Constable Eniko Cracknell, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area around the relevant time and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.

“Finally, I am appealing to the driver of the motorhome to come forward so we can take their account of what happened.”
