Age UK North, South & West Dorset (NSWD) invites older people to an online art class taster session on 10 November at 11am.
The free taster session will last for an hour and will give older people the opportunity to meet the tutor, and see if they would like to take part in a further six, weekly, hour long classes.
Age UKNSWD are lucky to have secured professional artist Angie Porter to teach the sessions.

For four years Angie worked at the National Portrait Gallery and developed an interest in portraiture. Moving to Dorset in 2010, her art practice has included both local and remembered landscapes from her homeland Australia.
Age UK NSWD Wellbeing Manager, Alice Davies said: “We are delighted that Angie Porter has agreed to share her talent with us at Age UK North, South & West Dorset.
“At the initial free taster session, potential students can speak to Angie and ask any questions about the classes.
Any ability is welcome from outright beginner, to those who have already picked up an artist’s palette. Classes will be tailored to suit the ability of the individual and group.
“Alice continued: “Online classes and events such as this is a great way for older people to learn new things, and meet new people when they may otherwise be isolated.
“It is never too late to pick up a new hobby, and you may discover a hidden talent!”
The taster session and following classes will take place using Zoom. Age UK NSWD can assist older people with technology if required.
If you, a friend or family member would like to take part please call Alice Davies on 01305 269444 or email at wellbeingservice@ageuknswd.org.uk for more details.
