Welcome Back – Weymouth Farmers and Makers Market

Thirty plus local food producers, farmers and makers will be taking part in the November  Weymouth Farmers and Makers Market on Sunday the 14th in New Bond Street.

That’s three times the size it was when it started in over year ago.

Best in Dorset, who run the monthly market and Dorset Food and Drink, have joined forces to support traders returning after the Covid 19 lockdowns.

Alison Calder of ‘Best in Dorset’ said: “Shoppers will get the chance to buy locally sourced and made food, drink and some great crafts. Many of the traders have won awards for their products.  This month we will be joined by a 40 strong Rock Choir, which will add to the atmosphere”.

Caroline Richards of Dorset Food and Drink said “We are delighted to welcome so many of our local producers into Weymouth. This is part of a series of Welcome Back events supported by Dorset Council, with European and Government Funding. Dorset has some of the best food producers in the country and we are looking forward to a great day in Weymouth.”

The Weymouth Farmers and Makers Market will take place in New Bond Street, by the White Hart pub, 10am to 3pm on Sunday 14th November. There will be stalls to delight foodies and for those looking for unique Christmas gifts. Traders attending can be found on the Weymouth Farmers and Makers Market Facebook page.

Weymouth Farmers and Makers Market was brought back to the town after a successful campaign by the community group Weymouth Area Development Trust, WeareWeymouth and the Weymouth Town Council.Best in Dorset logo
