Burglary in Weymouth

Officers investigating a burglary in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 5.30pm on Saturday 28 May 2022 a resident of an address in Ranelagh Road returned home and was unable to access a room as it was being blocked shut by an unknown man.

The man subsequently left the property and a search of the area was carried out by officers, but the offender was not located.

Police Constable Harry Chaplin, of Weymouth police, told KeeP 106: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please come forward.

“I would also be keen to hear from any motorists or residents who may have captured anything of significance on either dashcam or home CCTV systems.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220085198. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
