Vehicle flips over and ends up in field near Weymouth

Officers are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision in Weymouth and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident happened at approximately 8.50pm on Saturday 20 May 2023 on Knights in the Bottom Road in Chickerell just after the Victoria Inn.

During the road traffic collision a silver Vauxhall Astra left the road, flipped onto its roof and landed in a nearby field. As a result of this collision the occupants sustained minor injuries.

Police Constable Jack Hansford, of Weymouth police, said: “Our investigation is continuing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, and has not already spoken to police, to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity and may have captured anything of relevance on either dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage.”
