Dorchester Town FC sign Olaf Koszela

Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Olaf Koszela on a one-year contract (subject to FA approval).

The striker – who has 12 goals in 42 appearances for the club – joins on a permanent deal ahead of the new 2023/24 campaign, having spent another impressive spell on loan at The Avenue last season.

On his first summer signing, boss Glenn Howes said: “After having three successful loan spells from Torquay United it gives us great pleasure in announcing Olaf as one of our own.”

“Olaf, along with Louie and Alex, have brought a huge amount of professionalism from Torquay which the team will embrace.”

“Before Olaf’s season was cruelly brought to an end in December he was well amongst the goal scoring charts and will clearly be a big player for the season ahead.”

Welcome back Olaf!

Senior men’s county rugby returns to Dorchester on Saturday for the first time in over 20 years. The Dorset & Wilts senior men’s team lock horns with their East Midlands counterparts in the semi final of the Bill Beaumont RFU County Championship kicking off 3 00pm with the winners going into the final at Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club.

Dorset & Wilts have already beaten Gloucestershire, Devon and Berkshire in the pool games and are focused on returning to Headquarters for the fourth time where they have returned with the winners Shield on three previous occasions.

A county spokesman said, “The cricket season may have started, but there is still a lot of rugby to play so why not come up to Dorchester Rugby Club Coburg Road and cheer the team all the way to Ealing”.
