Threatening behaviour in Weymouth supermarket – witness appeal

Police officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as they investigate a report of threatening behaviour in Weymouth.

It is reported that between 9.20am and 9.30am on Thursday 13 June 2024, a man made verbal threats of violence toward a woman in the Aldi supermarket in Link Park in Chickerell.

The man is described as five feet eight inches tall and of stocky build, and he was wearing a grey tracksuit and a white baseball cap.

Police Constable Sam Welch, of Weymouth and Portland police, said: “We know that the supermarket was busy at the time of the incident, so we are appealing to witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist us with our enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240088878. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
