Weymouth didn’t fare much better in London against Slough Town, going down by a goal to nil, and to make matters worse, the Terras striker Malachi Linton was forced off early in the first half, leaving the Terras now with 3 strikers ruled out by injury.
Weymouth’s National League South playing record this season now reads played 6, lost 6 points nil and rooted firmly to the bottom of the league table.

In the Wessex Premier League, Portland United hosted AFC Portchester at Grove Corner, but it didn’t go well for the Blues, who lost the game by 3 goals to nil.

Bridport was our only senior non-league team to win on Saturday, beating visitors Bovey Tracey 4 nil at St Mary’s Field and adding 3 Southwest Peninsular league points to their tally.
The Bees scores came from James Cox with a pair, plus a goal each from Dan Baggs and Joe Charles.

The International Gig Regatta being hosted in Weymouth over the weekend was put on hold on Saturday due to the state of the sea in Newton’s Cove, where the strong wind whipped up the waves that were too large for the Gigs to compete safely.

However, that did not deter some wild water swimmers who braved the conditions to get their early morning dip in the sea.
