Two men injured in Weymouth assault

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as they investigate an incident where two men were assaulted in Weymouth town centre.

It was reported that at around 4am on Sunday 27 October 2024 two men aged in their 20s were involved in an altercation with a group of up to eight people in Westham Road.

One of the victims sustained a fractured jaw and the other man sustained a cut lip, laceration on his ear and swelling to his forehead.

One of the offenders is described as white, six feet two inches tall and of slender build with short brown hair. Another member of the group is described as white, five feet ten inches tall and of slim build.

Detective Constable Megan Matthews, of Dorset County CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate these assaults and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to please contact us.

“I would also urge anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to please get in touch.”
