Police renew appeal for information with CCTV images following assault in Weymouth

Detectives are renewing their appeal and issuing CCTV images of four men they would like to identify following an assault in Weymouth.

It was reported that at around 4am on Sunday 27 October 2024 two men aged in their 20s were involved in an altercation with a group of up to eight people in Westham Road.

One of the victims sustained a fractured jaw and the other man sustained a cut lip, laceration on his ear and swelling to his forehead.

Detective Constable Megan Matthews, of Dorset CID, said: “Following enquiries into this incident, I have now obtained CCTV images of four men I wish to identify.

“While I appreciate that the images are not the best quality, I am hopeful someone may recognise them and I would ask anyone with information regarding their identities to please come forward.”

Anybody with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting 55240165443. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling freephone 0800 555 111.
