Weeds growing in local roads despite £2,400 council tax bill!

A resident of Wyke Regis who is fed up with the state of his road has decided to take action.

He told our reporter Rob Mott that, despite calls to Dorset Council, the gutters and pavements of Broadmeadow Road were full of litter, weeds, grass and a build up of soil as the road was never swept by the council.

The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, cleared the whole of the road himself and commented, “I decided that it was a waste of time asking the council to take action on the state of the road so I thought I would sweep and clear the weeds myself.”
