Officers are appealing for the driver involved in a road traffic collision in Weymouth to come forward.
It was reported that at around 6.15pm on Tuesday 25 February 2025 a collision occurred on Spa Road, at the junction with Icen Road, involving a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 14-year-old girl, sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
The female driver of the Nissan Qashqai involved gave the teenager a lift home, but it was reported that the motorist did not leave her contact details and has not reported the collision to police.
Police Constable Adam Dunford, of Weymouth police, said: “After initial enquiries, I am keen to speak with the driver of the Nissan Qashqai to obtain their account of what happened. I would urge the driver to make contact with us as soon as possible.
“In addition to this, I would also appeal to any witnesses to the incident or any residents in the area of Spa Road and Icen Way who may have captured relevant footage on home CCTV systems, to please contact us.
“I appreciate that the driver involved in this collision stopped their vehicle to assist the injured pedestrian, but road users still have a responsibility to report a road traffic collision should personal injury be inflicted or damage to another vehicle or property occurs.”
