The Tribute League Rugby Competition may well be over, but that signals the start of the Men’s and Women’s RFU County Championships, and Dorset and Wits kick off their campaigns this weekend.

The Senior Men’s squad are past winners of the Bill Beaumont RFU County Championship and travel to Maidenhead Rugby Club on Saturday to face Berkshire. The match starts at 2:00 p.m. Then, on Sunday, the Twin Counties Women host Somerset Women at Melksham Rugby Club for a Gill Burns Trophy match, also with a kick-off time of 2:00 p.m.

In the men’s team, Weymouth & Portland’s Reece Makin starts on the wing, and James Newsam is on the bench.

Dorchester have one player in the squad, Jack Hayward, who joins Newsam on the bench.
