Family tribute after Weymouth man died in fatal collision near Wareham

The family of a man who sadly died in a fatal road traffic collision near Wareham have paid tribute to their loved one.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.41pm on Thursday 21 August 2025 of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a blue SEAT Leon on the A352 at East Stoke.

Sadly, 44-year-old Stuart Howes from Weymouth was pronounced dead at the scene.

The family of Stuart has issued the following statement: “Stuart Howes was a wonderful son, brother and father who cared about family very much.

“Stuart was a talented paint sprayer who built a business in the local Wareham area. Everyone knew him for his passion of cars and the commitment he showed towards his business.

“Stuart will be missed by his friends and family.”
