Weymouth Football Club travelled to play Yate Town in a Southern Premier League relegation six-pointer, and the Terras took the lead through an Andreas Robinson strike within a minute of the kickoff, sparking an incident in the crowd leading to the game being suspended for an hour before restarting.
A second goal from wing back Calvin Brooks, from a Matt Burrows corner, was enough for the Terras to return to the Bob Lucas Stadium with all three points following their two goals to nil victory.
Our Man at the Match said, “A great three points for Weymouth in total nine points from the last three matches, ten goals scored with none conceded. The Terras’ goalkeeper, Max Evans, was forced into making a couple of good saves, but all in all, Weymouth fully deserved their victory.”
In the same division, Dorchester hosted Bracknell Town at the Avenue Stadium and lost out by four goals to two.
Wayne Robinson and George Chubinidze both netted for the Magpies.
In the Wessex Premier League, Portland United hosted East Cowes Victoria at Grove Corner and scored three unanswered goals.
One each from Greg Borthwick, Patrick Jenkins, and Remus Nixon.
Bridport travelled into Devon to lock horns with Stoke Gabriel & Torbay Police, winning the Southwest Peninsular League East by four goals to two.
Striker Solomon Ayunga scored twice for the Bees, with Riley Weedon and Will Gape adding a goal apiece.
