Appeal following farm burglary in West Dorset

Officers investigating a burglary at a farm in West Dorset are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The burglary occurred on the night of Wednesday 17 July 2019, sometime after 8.45pm at a farm in the Maiden Newton area.

It was discovered this morning, Thursday 18 July 2019, that a green Honda quad bike has been stolen from a barn as well as a shepherd’s crook and an orange Stihl petrol strimmer.

A CLH trailer was also found to be missing from a nearby field. The trailer is eight feet by around four feet and had a spare wheel on the front, broken rear light, loading gates, green tape around the electrics, a dent on the mudguard and a dent on the left hand side of the removable roof.

Police Constable Mark Powell, of Dorchester police, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who has any information that can assist our investigation.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who has come across a quad bike or trailer matching the descriptions given or any of the other items that were taken.”
