Public Health update on COVID-19 cases in Dorset, and other news

In the last seven days there were 263 confirmed positive cases in the Dorset Council area.

Cases have started to fall quickly as a result of the national restrictions, but we still have work to do.

We know that most infections are spread within and between households, which is why limiting social contact continues to be one of the most important tools we have to reduce infection rates.

Free parking days for residents and businesses this Christmas

To help you return to high streets across Dorset for your Christmas shopping, we’re offering three days of free parking this December.

Town centre car parks across the Dorset Council area will be free on Saturdays 5, 12 and 19 December 2020. This also includes Small Business Saturday.

Free device giveaways helping to shield people from loneliness

A second lockdown has been made a lot easier for some of Dorset’s most clinically vulnerable residents, thanks to the gift of free tablet devices.
