On Thursday 13th April National Highways advised that the A35 in both directions near Winterborne Abbas was closed following a crash involving two lorries the previous evening.
A man was been taken to hospital with serious injuries and the road had to be closed due to a large spillage of diesel fuel requiring emergency resurfacing to the damaged road. The road was not expected to be reopened until mid-afternoon on the Thursday.
Diversions were set up at the junction of the A35 and A3066 at Bridport and the Monkeys Jump Roundabout at Dorchester.
