Attempted burglary in Weymouth – witness appeal

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an attempted burglary in Weymouth.

It is reported that between 4.30pm and 7.30pm on Sunday 24 August 2025, an unknown person attempted to gain access to an address in Penny Street.

Police Constable Jake Ward, of Weymouth police, said: “Thankfully, entry was not gained to the property and nothing was stolen.

“We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information that might assist our investigation, to please contact us.”
