Weldmar Hospicecare is calling on thrill-seekers and fundraisers across the county to take part in its upcoming Firewalk, held at the charity’s Inpatient Unit in Dorchester on Friday 13th November 2026.
This unique event offers participants the chance to put mind over matter and walk across hot coals. By stepping across the embers, participants will raise vital funds to ensure Weldmar can continue providing specialist, compassionate end of life care to Dorset adults with life limiting illnesses and support for their families.
No prior training or experience is required; participants simply need a sense of adventure and a willingness to support the charity.
“This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone looking to push their boundaries and raise money by doing something out of the ordinary,” says Eden Fraser, Events and Challenges Fundraiser for Weldmar.
“We have plenty of space for participants, so it’s the perfect challenge for corporate teams or groups of friends to sign up together. The atmosphere on the night is going to be absolutely electric.”
