Weymouth Football Club progress into Monday’s FA Trophy draw following their victory away at Chippenham on Saturday.
The Terras twice led, but each time the Bluebirds managed to reel them in, with the score after 90 minutes level at 2 goals each.
The result was decided on penalties, with Weymouth emerging victorious, scoring 4, their hosts only managing 3.

“Well done, The Terras. For most of the match, Weymouth had the majority of possession and didn’t allow Chippenham the time or space to play. The Bluebirds had 2 shots on goal and scored with both. The Terras goalkeeper Gerard Benfield was brilliant in the penalty shootout.
“In my opinion, for what it’s worth, the man of the match was defender Kieran Douglas. He didn’t put a foot or head wrong and scored the winning penalty, and it’s another £2500 in the kitty.”
Dorchester move into 3rd place in the Southern League Division 1, behind leaders Swindon Supermarine and Weymouth after their 4-1 home win against Exmouth.
Jayden Neilson, Ethan Taylor, Matt Burrows and Freddie Beale all netting a goal each for the Magpies.
Portland had no fixture, but Bridport put visitors Oakhampton Argyle to the sword, scoring 7 goals and conceding 1.
Jake Childs banked a brace for the Bees, with Riley Weedon, Ryan Gall, Kieran Daniles, Josh Camp and Euan Joyce all scoring 1 goal apiece.

Weymouth & Portland faced a well-organised Bridport side and struggled to gain a foothold in the game. However, with the Seahorses trailing by 17 points to 12 at the break, Weymouth were still well in contention.
But after the turn around, Bridport ran in a couple of early tries, and the floodgates opened.
The Seahorses came good in the final 10 minutes and ran in a late try, but it was too little too late to affect the outcome.
