A touring Circus is likely to come to Dorchester’s Great Field in the summer.
Dorchester Town Council, which manages the field and associated play areas, has given permission to Show Productions Ltd to bring a Circus Cortex production to the county town in August.
The council’s outdoor services assistant town clerk has told councillors that grass on the site should recover following the visit, leaving no lasting damage.
The circus says its aim is to maintain traditional circus skills with acts which include high wire, balance, dance and traditional clowning.
Its website currently only features shows in the UK in the coming weeks with the Dorchester dates, and how to book, expected to be added in the early summer.
