Arrests following alleged burglaries in Dorchester

Officers investigating a series of alleged burglaries in the Dorchester area have arrested three men.

The four incidents had been reported to police since Tuesday 12 February 2019. One of them happened in Herringston Road, two in Dagmar Road and one in Peverell Avenue East. It is alleged that electronic items, wallets, mobile phones, a bag and a jacket were stolen.

Three men from the Dorchester area – aged 26, 29 and 34 – have been arrested today, Thursday 21 February 2019, on suspicion of burglary and are helping officers with their enquiries.

Dorchester Neighbourhood Police Inspector Darren Stanton said: “I would like to remind residents to remember to lock their doors and windows at night.

“There are a number of simple steps you can take to protect your home and anyone wishing advice can either contact their local neighbourhood policing team or visit https://www.dorset.police.uk/help-advice-crime-prevention/home-property-belongings/protect-your-home/.”
