£150 Council Tax Energy Rebate by Dorset Council now underway

Dorset Council are now making payments to households in council tax bands A to D who pay by direct debit. The majority of payments will be processed during the period 11 – 13 May – over 77,000 households.

Recipients will receive written confirmation of this payment in the coming days, and payments take approximately 3 working days to show in customer accounts.

The council will be shortly writing to all other remaining households in council tax bands A to D who do not pay by direct debit (and the few who did not pass the automatic direct debit approval process) to advise people how to apply for the payment. There’s a quick and simple application process. The letter will also advise of the support available for anyone who may need help to apply.

In total, payments are going out to around 121,000 households.
