Countryside Matters 19.02.24

In this edition of Jenny Devitt’s Countryside Matters we’ll be hearing about an exciting new project involving Sherborne Abbey’s Bell Tower and Swifts, those fast flying summer visitors. And we’ll hear more fascinating facts about spiders from Professor Sarah Goodacre who was also on the last Countryside Matters programme. The programme today starts with a feature on new housing and its impact. In particular the proposed development known locally as Norchester. Jenny has been talking to Dorchester’s Mayor, Alistair Chisholm, and Jane Ashdown, both members of S.T.A.N.D, Save The Area North of Dorchester.
