Weekend Sports Report

Weymouth Football Club’s National League South Status is hanging by a thread following the Terras 4 goals to nil home victory against Slough Town.

Although still mathematically possible, it looks very unlikely despite their performance at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday.

The Terras scored 4 goals, 2 on either side of the break from Brooklyn Genesini, Malachi Linton, Jake McCarthy and Ben Greenwood.

Our Man at the Match said: “A great result for Weymouth, Slough came out fighting in the second half, but the Terras rode out the storm and after the third goal went in it was all but over. Whether it will be enough to prevent Weymouth from going down, well, that’s a very big ask”.

Dorchester returned from AFC Totton with a Southern Premier League point courtesy of a goal from their veteran midfielder Wes Fogden with the final score one-all.

Portland United fell victim to a late goal beaten at Grove Corner by Millbrook.

As the game entered the final stages, the Hampshire outfit netted their second strike to snatch victory by 2 goals to 1.

Hayden Scott scoring for the Blues.

Their scores coming from Ali Kamara and Olli Hoole.

On Sunday Weymouth Women’s football team travelled into Devon to play Feniton Women and went down by 2 goals to 1, Hannah Fowler scoring the Terras goal.
