Public appeal to find woman missing in Dorchester

Police officers searching for a woman missing in Dorchester are appealing for help and information from the public to find her.

Rachel, aged 48, was last seen between 10.40am and 11am on Monday 13 July 2026 in Trinity Street.

She is described as of slim build with shoulder-length reddish brown hair, five feet four inches tall and was wearing a white top, grey trousers, white patterned shoes and was carrying a small bag.

Inspector Chrissie Plumley, of Dorset Police, said: “We are growing very concerned for Rachel’s welfare as she has not been seen or heard from since yesterday morning.

“I am appealing to anyone who has seen Rachel, or a woman matching the description given, to please come forward.

“Rachel now has hair that is reddish brown in colour and is longer than shown in the picture.

“Finally, I would like to appeal directly to Rachel if you see this appeal to please contact us as we just want to make sure you are OK.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Rachel’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 999, quoting occurrence number 55260105837.
