Three short stories by Jenny Devitt

A departure from her normal Countryside Matters programme, KeeP 106 presenter Jenny Devitt has written three excellent and diverse short stories and you can hear them below read by Jenny herself. Ranging from a spooky and murderous hiking adventure, a less than compassionate boy getting his come-uppance and an Irish fairy-tale, I’m sure you will enjoy them.

The Bothy – Two hikers set off in the remote Scottish highlands looking for the Bothy, a place to stay the night, but find more than they bargained for…

Sour Revenge – A bird, injured by a nasty boy, is taken to a sanctuary and having recovered dispenses a ‘sour revenge’ on its assailant…

The End of The Rainbow – Has Seamus had a drop too much of the ‘black stuff’, or is there really such a thing as a fairy story?…

Jenny Devitt presents Countryside Matters on Mondays at 6pm, a programme which deals with farming, gardening, wildlife and the environment.
